OUR EXPERIENCE
(Last visited: October 2015)
Service: You can view the menu at your table, then order and pay at the counter. Food will be served to you at the table. Our first visit was okay but we were pretty disappointed on our second visit on their inconsistency in service. Food was served at a much slower pace even though it wasn’t that crowded.
Ambience: Dark interior. While it’s comfortable, it can be a little gloomy or maybe it was just us as we visited this cafe only at night. On our second visit, we found out they’re pet friendly as we saw three huskies at another table. Being a dog lover myself, this is a plus point. However, I do think that they must set a limit or rather the pet owners are responsible to ensure their pets are properly kept. The huskies’ fur were floating around in the air when their owners were making a move. We had to cover our food and drinks so we don’t end up chowing down dog fur.
Coffee/ Drinks: The long black I ordered was slightly over-extracted.
Food: I was pretty excited when I ordered the pork ribs but I was disappointed because it was too dry. The sauce was nice though. We enjoyed the bruschetta as we can pick and choose the toppings we want. The mashed potatoes, which was a side for the grilled teriyaki pork burger was cold so it wasn’t very aromatic.
Cakes/ Desserts: The signature brownie 2.0 is pretty interesting. You need to pour hot chocolate for it to melt. It was too sweet for us though. As for the velvet cake we ordered, they warmed it up which they shouldn’t have. It caused the cream cheese to melt and it didn’t taste good.
